Partnering with educational institutions

The Greater Philadelphia region has over 80 institutions of higher education. With such a vibrant education sector, the region benefits from an educated workforce that is extremely attractive to businesses looking to locate here. We work with area universities to educate the next generation of world-class businesspeople on the importance of international trade and cultural awareness, enhancing the region’s reputation as a thriving location for international business.

Programs that leverage the international expertise and connections of the WTCGP broaden the exposure of area university students to the challenges and opportunities of the global marketplace. Our programs allow students to work with local companies looking to expand internationally, conduct market research, formulate a market entry strategy, and travel on an executive trade mission to provide experiential learning.

The WTCGP is proud of its groundbreaking and historic partnership with the LeBow College of Business of Drexel University. We also value our partnership with the Fox School of Business, Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER), at Temple University. Partnerships such as these enable the WTCGP to work with these outstanding institutions to help shape future generations of global business leaders.

The WTCGP also organizes in-country visits to international corporations and manufacturing facilities such as IBM, UPS, Boeing, Duane Morris Government Affairs, and Campbell Soup. Students have participated in trade missions to China, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia and Vietnam. Faculty and students are also invited to WTCGP-hosted educational seminars with recognized speakers on key issues in globalization.

The WTCGP can also assist universities with their international student recruitment efforts. Contact us to explore a custom program to complement your international education initiative.
